Step-by-Step Care Guide
Proper care is essential to make your natural sea sponge last for years. Never boil, microwave, or wring/twist the sponge, as this will damage its natural fibers.
Rinse After Each Use: After every bath or shower, thoroughly rinse the sponge under warm, clean water to remove all soap residue and debris.
Gently Squeeze: Press the sponge gently to expel excess water. Avoid twisting or pulling the sponge to prevent tearing the fibers.
Air Dry Completely: Place the sponge in a well-ventilated area or hang it to air dry completely. Do not store it in a damp area, like a closed shower stall, which can encourage mold growth.
Deep Clean Periodically: Every 2-4 weeks, soak your sponge for 15-30 minutes in a natural disinfecting solution:
Baking Soda Soak: Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda per cup of warm water. This revitalizes its structure and removes odors.
Vinegar Soak: Mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water.
Rinse Thoroughly (After Deep Clean): After soaking, rinse the sponge thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue from the cleaning solution, then air dry completely.
